After a list merges, main's tables and counts lag until they are regenerated. As a failing unit test that
turned "Lists, tools and docs" red, which is also the signal the merge bot waits on between merges, so a
wave would stop at its first list. The check now runs as its own job, which the bot can leave out while
its counts step regenerates the tables after the wave. The strict unit tests that compared the committed
tables and the alt-text count with the folders go: the job's gen_tables.py --check covers both.
CONTRIBUTING.md, the tv-list workflow, AGENTS.md and the PR template ask for examples/<folder>/tv.json
instead of README rows, and say to change nothing outside the folder. MAINTAINER.md: a missing tv.json
is the merge-with-fix, rows from older PRs are dropped on merge (--adopt keeps them as tv.json), the
maintainer runs tools/gen_tables.py after merging, and a README-only conflict needs no rebase.
The launcher was at 488 KB with 3 KB left, so translations like Korean (#1271, +7.4 KB) and small fixes no longer fit. 512 KB keeps it under half a megabyte.
New brands: Lumio, RockTek, TiVo. examples/README.md and README.md: one tcl-65c735 row each (the table merges had left the pre-#996 row next to the updated one).
Re-pins the workflow to maintainer-bot v4.1.1 (c940c68). A conflict only in README.md, examples/README.md
or SHOWCASE.md (union-merged on every merge) no longer gets a rebase ask; any other conflict still does.
Re-pins the workflow to maintainer-bot v4.1 (8a60111) and adds its rules to MAINTAINER.md: Android's core
packages (#884) send a list back, any conflict with main gets a rebase ask naming the files, the later of
two PRs doing the same thing is the duplicate, and a PR that already is an add-on is judged on its merits.
A held PR now says where the review leans (bot-leans:* labels).
MAINTAINER.md gets the core-vs-hub policy (showcase, addon and theme as homes for an idea), the
launcher switch rule, today's list rules and the rules learned in the 21-22 Oct rounds.
precedents.jsonl adds the 219 decisions of 21-22 Oct in the v4 verdicts (676 in all).
