The patch comments and the Mach-O strings filter named an anti-cheat product. Use neutral wording; the patches still differ only in comments. The platform-identity document now says the overrides are for compatibility, not a bypass of anti-cheat, telemetry, licensing or platform controls.
The issue #75 trace shows recording now runs, but Vivox's playback unit
(mic test loopback, other players' voices) sets interleaved Float32 stereo
at 32 kHz on input scope element 0 and got -10868. Apply the relaxed rule
to both client sides (input scope element 0, output scope element 1); the
playback path already interleaves for the device and PulseAudio resamples.
AudioUnitRender(bus 1) now traces frames and peak level (no samples) so a
log shows whether the client pulls sound or silence. The input check also
sets Vivox's playback format and expects unsigned 16-bit to be refused.

RenderBus pads missing frames with zeros, which is loud for unsigned PCM
(silence is 0x80 for 8-bit, 0x8000 for 16-bit). Reject unsigned and 8-bit
formats on element 1; voice engines use float or signed 16-bit.

Vivox sets interleaved Float32 stereo on output scope element 1 and
AUBase's canonical-only rule rejected it with -10868, so voice chat never
started recording (issue #75 trace: 20 attempts, all failing there).
A real AUHAL converts any linear PCM; element 1 now accepts native-endian
float32 or 8/16/32-bit integers in either layout, which PulseAudio records
and RenderBus copies. Playback (element 0) keeps the canonical rule.
The input check gains a Vivox-style run: interleaved stereo 44.1 kHz with
the device set on element 1.

Voice chat (Vivox) saw no capture device and Chromium was told mic
access was denied. Fixes for issue #75:
- AVCaptureDevice: audio is Authorized when CoreAudio has a default
input device; requestAccess answers asynchronously. Video stays Denied.
- PulseAudio input device reports 2 channels on input scope, 0 on output
(was copied from the output device).
- PulseAudio input stream: real sample/host timestamps, one device
buffer per IOProc call, holes as silence, IOProc errors no longer cork
the stream, record buffer attrs sized to the device buffer.
- AUHAL: two elements per scope like macOS, non-blocking
AudioUnitRender on bus 1 with planar support, device records in the
bus 1 format, input-only units route CurrentDevice/BufferFrameSize to
the input device, input start errors handled.
- New offline check tools/riot-audio-input-check.cpp.

Riot's splash screens draw on a black rectangle: LeagueClient's is a
borderless NSWindow with setOpaque:NO and a pattern-image background, the
Riot Client's an Electron BrowserWindow with transparent: true. X11Window
created every window with a 24-bit visual and -setOpaque: only stored the
flag, so there was no alpha channel.
A non-opaque window whose background can show through (alpha below 1, or a
pattern image) now gets the 32-bit ARGB visual. League's game window is
non-opaque on an opaque background and stays on the opaque visual, which
X11IsLeagueGameWindow also enforces. The X window exists before apps set
opacity and background, so the choice is checked again when the first
subwindow is created (layer subwindows inherit the visual) and before the
first map, and the window recreated while unmapped if it changed. Its
background is transparent instead of None, so no black frame shows before
the first draw. Its surface comes from an alpha EGL config for that visual
(CGLGetWindowWithAlpha) and its compositing context from the surface's
config (CGLCreateContextForWindow): NVIDIA refuses the default config on a
32-bit window, and no driver makes a context from it current on the alpha
surface. Without an alpha config the window falls back to the opaque
visual.
A translucent window above the normal level (Electron's alwaysOnTop
splash) is typed _NET_WM_WINDOW_TYPE_SPLASH with _NET_WM_STATE_ABOVE before
it is mapped: window managers float it and draw no frame around it.
Electron's level never arrived, though: CGWindowLevelForKey returned the
normal level for every key, and the SDK turns NSFloatingWindowLevel into a
call to it. It now returns the levels macOS does; Cocotron only stores
levels, so nothing else changes.
With __GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATIONS=1, NVIDIA 580 (the last branch for Pascal
GPUs) with egl-x11 1.0.6 rejects the X11 EGLDisplay with EGL_BAD_DISPLAY on
every thread that has a context current. A native EGL program reproduces it
outside Darling. In the Riot client the main thread loses EGL after its first
window frame, so CGLCreateContext fails with error 10004 and the game window
stays black. Default the launcher to 0; setting the variable restores 1.
CGLDestroyWindow also returns early for the NULL window CGLGetWindow gives
when eglCreateWindowSurface fails, instead of passing EGL_NO_SURFACE on.

Rebuild the remaining NVIDIA changes on current main, preserving the merged visual, draw-buffer, descriptor ownership and mixed Metal-tree fixes. Scope native-thread forwarding to resize notifications and make completion polling per device, bounded and part of the caller timeout budget.

On NVIDIA the game aborts within minutes: a thread's darlingserver RPC
socket is closed behind Darling's back, and its next RPC fails with
EBADF (or ENOTSOCK once the number is reused), then __simple_abort in
mach_msg_overwrite_trap_impl (#23).
__mldr_create_rpc_socket moved each new socket onto its slot with
dup2(), which silently closes whatever already holds that number. The
slots count down from the soft RLIMIT_NOFILE read at the process's first
socket. The game starts with a soft limit of 1024 (systemd's default,
inherited from the terminal) and then holds ~5500 fds, one per NVIDIA
driver allocation, so the kernel hands numbers in the slot range
(900-1023) to the driver whenever a slot is free, for instance after a
thread exits. The next new thread's dup2() replaced the driver's fd with
its socket; when the driver later closed "its" fd, it closed the socket.
Mesa never comes near 1000 fds, which is why AMD works.
Use fcntl(F_DUPFD, slot) instead: it never replaces a descriptor. If the
slot is taken, give it back and keep the socket at the lowest free
number above it, which is above all of the bitmap's slots and owned by
nobody else; socket_bitmap_put ignores sockets above the slots. The
process lifetime pipe helper gets the same treatment.
This is the remaining case of the 2026-10-10 LeagueClient crash: that
fix stopped two Darling threads from sharing a slot, this one stops
Darling from taking a slot that belongs to someone else.
Darling's libvDSP was almost entirely void stubs. Chromium's Blink
WebAudio on macOS uses vDSP_vsmul for any GainNode gain other than 0 or
1, so with the League client's master volume below 100% the master gain
output buffer was never written: silence when starting below 100%, and
the last block repeating as a buzz when lowering the volume. vDSP_vadd
was also a stub, so simultaneous sounds were not summed and a new sound
replaced the previous one.
Implement every vDSP function the Chromium Embedded Framework imports:
vadd, vsub, vmul, vsmul, vsadd, vsma, svesq, vclip, conv, ctoz, ztoc,
zvmul, deq22, deq22D, create_fftsetup, destroy_fftsetup and fft_zrip,
with Apple's argument order and scaling (forward real FFT is 2x the
DFT, inverse unscaled). The FFT is in place and keeps only read-only
twiddles in the setup, which callers share across threads. Build vDSP
at -O2 because it runs on the realtime render thread, and drop the
uncompiled basic.c.
The runtime installer now builds libvDSP and installs it at its
absolute path in the stopped prefix, keeping a .before-vdsp backup.
Verified against naive references for sizes up to 2^15 on the host;
confirmed manually that client sound is fixed at any volume.
Fixes#4

Fix X11 presentation handoff after resizing, preserve NSView size callbacks, and correct content and backing-layer geometry. Add CoreText font enumeration for the language dropdown and rebuild/install the matching runtime overlays.
Correct CarbonCore Gestalt version queries and roll back proc_listpids for Vanguard testing. Document that VAN -101 can still recur. Include accumulated CoreAudio stream and AudioUnit corrections.
Add standalone font, version, resize and publisher-handoff regressions. Record manual confirmation of the language dropdown and window resizing; all 29 pinned patches and the source/script audit validate.
LaunchServices now hands http, https and mailto URLs to the host desktop
itself instead of NSWorkspace writing them to a spool that nothing in
the normal workflow drains. It loads the host libsystemd through the ELF
loader and calls xdg-desktop-portal OpenURI on the session bus, falling
back to xdg-open in a transient systemd user unit, so the browser starts
outside Darling's namespaces. LSGetApplicationForURL reports the host
opener for these schemes because Electron checks for a handler before
opening a link. NSWorkspace goes through LSOpenCFURLRef.
Tested with a host-side D-Bus regression (79 checks) and in a fresh
guest prefix through open(1) and NSWorkspace, both reaching the portal
with the exact URL.

Preserve floating-point arguments in GL resolvers, retain presentation across differently sized windows, export AppKit click and URL fixes, and guard nullable LaunchServices errors. Include compiler/build and installer corrections for the new PC.
Reuse server receive buffers with descriptor-safe exception cleanup and avoid disabled debug-string allocation. Translate Darwin free/reuse memory hints, add atomic server/library installers with separate user-owned memory backups, and preserve active processes until a manual namespace restart.
Remove automatic inspectors, client helpers and forced unlimited UI frames from normal launches. Retain historical hooks with offline mocks and document their exclusion, unresolved installer handoff, activation requirements and unmeasured FPS/RAM benefits.
Validation: all 29 pinned patches apply; all 461 exported source files match; host receive and memory checks, launcher and JavaScript mocks, syntax and documentation-link checks pass. No live client/game was controlled or restarted.
