### Seam-hit prominence: closed (2026-10-03)
The remaining 2–5 dB gap between our seam hits and the recomp's capture (after the 110 ms alignment fix) has no
mechanism. Pitch, per-voice level, bus, voices per hit and the bed spectrum all match. The user closed it as a
likely recomp artefact: the recomp's frame rate is uncapped, its audio thread stalls, and its capture includes
ambience and the other seam voices. The user hears the seams as "WAY BETTER". No levels were changed.
